Hello and Welcome to Spinning a Yarn, home of fabulous hand dyed fibres. (And occasionally a little homespun too!)
At the moment you will find hand dyed merino fibre in the shop. I use wash and light fast Jaquard Acid Dyes, and dye in small batches of around 300 grams.
No two skeins are the same, but I keep records of each batch and try and match colours as best I can. If you have a special request for a colourway, or larger amount I would love to help you out.
If spinning with more than one bag of fibre, I recommend taking a little from each bag as you go to ensure colour consistency...unless of course the inconsistency spins your wheels!
